Cedral Cladding Projects: Real Homes, Real Results
Want to see Cedral fibre cement cladding on real homes before you choose? Below are three short videos from our YouTube channel: a homeowner explaining why they chose Cedral, a Cedral Click project in Cowbridge, Wales, and a Cedral Lap project in Weybridge, Surrey.
After the videos, we cover how to decide between Cedral Lap and Cedral Click for your own home, and how to share photos of your finished project with us.
Why choose Cedral? A homeowner's view
Our first video is a homeowner testimonial on why they picked Cedral for their home. It is a good place to start if you are still weighing up cladding options.
Cedral Click case study: Cowbridge, Wales
This case study features Cedral Click, the tongue-and-groove board fixed with hidden clips, on a project in Cowbridge in the Vale of Glamorgan.
Cedral Click boards measure 3600 x 186 x 12mm and can be fitted horizontally or vertically. Browse the range in our Cedral Click boards and trims collection.
Cedral Lap case study and testimonial: Weybridge, Surrey
Our third video is a case study and customer testimonial for a Cedral Lap project in Weybridge, Surrey.
Cedral Lap is the overlapping weatherboard, at 3600 x 190 x 10mm with a woodgrain finish. Each board casts a shadow line where it overlaps the one below. See the boards and matching trims in our Cedral Lap boards and trims collection.
Lap or Click: which suits your project?
Both are Cedral fibre cement boards with a factory-applied colour, and both come in the same 21 colours with a woodgrain finish. The main differences are the look and the way they are fixed.
| Cedral Lap | Cedral Click | |
|---|---|---|
| Look | Traditional overlapping weatherboard with a shadow line | Flat, flush, contemporary finish |
| Fixing | Face fixed with nails or screws | Secret fixed with hidden stainless steel clips |
| Board size | 3600 x 190 x 10mm | 3600 x 186 x 12mm |
| Finishes | Woodgrain | Woodgrain, or Smooth in selected colours |
| Boards per m² | 1.74 | 1.60 |
| Price per board (at the time of writing) | £16.29 ex VAT (£19.55 inc VAT) | £25.19 ex VAT (£30.23 inc VAT) |
As a rough guide, Lap suits homes where you want a classic clapboard look and a lower board cost. Click suits a cleaner, modern elevation, and it gives you the option of vertical boards or a smooth finish. For a fuller comparison, read our guide to Cedral Lap vs Click.
Whichever you choose, Cedral is classified A2-s1,d0 to EN 13501-1 and comes with a 10-year manufacturer guarantee when installed to Cedral's specification. Always check the fire requirements for your project with building control or your architect.

FAQs
Can I see Cedral colours in person before ordering?
Yes. Order free Cedral samples to check colours against your brickwork, windows and roof in daylight.
Can Cedral Click be fitted vertically?
Yes. Cedral Click can be installed horizontally or vertically. Vertical boards need a counter-battened substructure so the cavity stays ventilated.
Do Lap and Click come in the same colours?
Both come in all 21 Cedral colours in the woodgrain finish. Cedral Click Smooth is available in a smaller selection of colours.
