The Knipex 13 46 165 VDE Stripping Pliers 165mm are a professional multi-function electrical tool designed for stripping, cutting and dismantling installation cables safely and efficiently. VDE tested up to 10,000V and approved for safe working up to 1,000V, these pliers comply with DIN EN / IEC 60900, making them ideal for electricians and electrical installers.
Designed for stripping round sheathed and damp-proof installation cables such as NYM, the tool features a circular cutting edge with depth limiter that removes the outer sheath without damaging the inner conductors. The slim head design and optimally angled cable sheath cutter allow easy access into deep or confined junction boxes, improving efficiency during installation work.
Manufactured from forged vanadium electric steel and multi-stage oil hardened for durability, the cutting edges are induction hardened to approximately 61 HRC for excellent wear resistance. The pliers also include an integrated side cutter for trimming conductors, wires, small screws and nails. Precision stripping holes support conductors of 1.5mm² and 2.5mm², while the lightweight construction makes them around 30% lighter than comparable pliers, reducing fatigue during extended use. The multi-component VDE insulated grips ensure comfort, control and electrical safety.
