The Knipex 95 16 200 VDE Cable Shears with Twin Cutting Edge 200mm are professional-grade cable cutters designed for clean, efficient cutting of copper and aluminium cables. VDE tested up to 10,000V and approved for safe working up to 1,000V, these cable shears comply with DIN EN / IEC 60900, making them ideal for electricians and electrical installation professionals.
Manufactured from high-grade special tool steel, the blades are forged and oil-hardened to deliver exceptional strength and long-lasting performance. The precision-ground, hardened cutting edges ensure cables are cut cleanly without crushing or deforming, making them suitable for both single and multi-stranded conductors.
The innovative twin cutting edge design divides the cutting process into two stages – an initial cut and final cut using the upper and lower blades. This allows cables of up to 20mm diameter to be cut efficiently while requiring significantly less hand force. The optimised blade geometry and high transmission ratio further improve cutting efficiency and ease of use.
The multi-component VDE insulated handles provide comfort and electrical safety, while integrated pinch guards protect fingers during operation. An adjustable bolted joint with self-retaining screw ensures smooth and reliable tool performance.
