The Knipex 95 36 315 VDE Ratchet Action Cable Cutter is a professional insulated cutting tool designed for safely cutting steel wire armoured (SWA) cables and large copper or aluminium cables. Built for demanding electrical installation work, this cutter is VDE tested up to 10,000V and approved for safe working up to 1,000V, meeting the strict requirements of DIN EN / IEC 60900.
The cutter features an innovative three-stage ratchet drive mechanism, providing high leverage for efficient cutting with minimal effort. This design allows both one-handed and two-handed operation, making it easier to cut large cable diameters while maintaining excellent control.
Equipped with hardened and precision-ground steel cutting edges, the tool delivers smooth, clean cuts without crushing or deforming the cable. The compact and lightweight design makes the cutter ideal for working in confined areas, while the fixed handle with support area provides additional stability during operation.
For user comfort and safety, the tool is fitted with ergonomic multi-component insulated grips, ensuring a secure and comfortable hold while providing electrical protection when working near live installations.
These cable cutters are capable of cutting steel wire armoured cables up to 45mm in diameter or 380mm². Please note that the tool is not suitable for cutting steel wire, ACSR cable or wire ropes.
