SST Cavity Starter Ties

SST Cavity Starter Ties are specially designed to secure new walls where a cavity exists, providing a strong and reliable connection to existing structures. Supplied complete with nylon plugs and featuring a drip to prevent moisture ingress, these ties are suitable for buildings up to 8 metres or 3 storeys high. Manufactured from high-grade 304 stainless steel, SST Cavity Starter Ties offer excellent corrosion resistance, ensuring a durable and safe solution for both internal and external cavity wall construction.

• Application – Used where there is a cavity and a new wall needs to be built. Suitable for buildings up to a maximum of 8 metres or 3 storeys high.
• Design – Asymmetrical wall starter tie with drip feature.
• Material – Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel.
• Behaviour in relation to fire – Non-combustible (as defined in the national Building Regulations).
• Durability – Excellent corrosion resistance and a service life of not less than 60 years.
• Thermal performance – Adequately resists thermal transmittance through a wall cavity where thermal losses through ties need to be considered.
