VTS Vista Tie Span

The VTS Vista Tie Span is a high-strength Type 1 bed joint reinforcement solution specifically engineered for use in double-leaf collar joint wall construction. Designed to eliminate the challenges of handling heavy 215mm blocks, it allows builders to use two 100mm blocks tied together with the Tie Span, offering both structural integrity and ease of installation. This construction method also delivers an impressive 6-hour fire resistance rating. Each unit measures 2700mm in length and 175mm in width, and is manufactured with either 4mm or 3.5mm main longitudinal wires combined with 20mm flat cross ties, making it a practical and reliable solution for robust wall construction.

• Design: Vista Tie Span Type 1 has been designed for use in double-leaf collar joint walls, and can reduce the problems on site with heavy blocks, using 2 x 100mm blocks tied together with Tiespan type 1 to replace a 215mm block. This method of construction also gives the wall a 6 hour fire rating. Tiespan type 1 is manufactured with 4mm or 3.5mm main longitudinal wires with 20mm flat cross ties. Each length is 2700mm long x 175mm wide.
• Material: Manufactured from grade 304 S15 stainless steel. Also available in galvanised steel.
• Behaviour in relation to fire: Non combustible (as defined in the national Building Regulations).
• Durability: Excellent corrosion resistance and a service life of not less than 60 years.
