Overstrike Guard

The Hultafors Overstrike Guard is designed to protect the handle of your axe from damage caused by accidental overstrikes during chopping. Fitted around the handle just below the axe head, this durable guard helps prevent wear, splits and impact damage, extending the lifespan of your axe handle.

Also known as an axe handle protector or axe collar, the guard is securely attached using the included leather cords, allowing it to be easily fitted around the handle for reliable protection during use. Manufactured in Sweden using hides from Swedish cows, the guard is made with careful consideration for both animal welfare and environmental responsibility. The leather is crafted from vegetable tanned full grain leather, offering excellent durability while developing a natural patina over time.
