V62 High Movement Timber Frame Ties

The V62 High Movement Timber Frame Ties are a high-specification channel and strip tie system designed for demanding applications in timber frame construction. Suitable for domestic and small commercial buildings between 5 to 7 storeys (up to 18m high), these ties are engineered to accommodate significant differential movement up to 65mm. Ideal for cavity widths ranging from 50–150mm, the V62 ties come complete with 50mm x 4mm stainless steel screws for secure installation. Built for performance, durability, and thermal efficiency, this Type 7 tie system is perfect for projects requiring enhanced structural flexibility without compromising on strength or compliance.

• Application: This type of timber frame wall tie is right for domestic dwellings and small commercial buildings from 5 to 7 storeys high. They are suitable for buildings with a maximum height of 18m. Their suitability should be calculated for each location and the Vista technical team are happy to assist.
• Design: Channel and strip tie system. Maximum differential movement of 65mm.
• Material: Manufactured from grade 304 stainless steel
• Behaviour in relation to fire: Non combustible (as defined in the national Building Regulations)
• Durability: Excellent corrosion resistance and a service life of not less than 60 years
• Thermal performance: In situations where thermal losses through ties need to be taken into account, the products will adequately resist thermal transmittance through a wall cavity
• Compliance: Tested as Type B (sound) and as Type 7 (strength) to BS EN 845-1
